This project took place over the course of several months of discussion, rehearsal, and performance. White women from Durham, NC acknowledged and then embodied complicated and problematic ideas of whiteness and femininity using our bodies as vessels for transformative potential. Our work together extended the ideas explored in the sculpture "Success under this system is suspect." For our performance, we combined that sculpture with our embodied discoveries and movement.
